​Marc Lotter serves as President of Lotter Communications, LLC and as a surrogate for President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence’s political efforts.  He is a regular guest and panelist on national and cable news outlets including Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CNN and programs such as: ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos, CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper, and Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace.

Lotter served as a Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence during most of the first year of the Trump Administration. Prior to joining the administration, he served as Press Secretary to the Vice President during the 2016 presidential campaign and transition.

A native Hoosier from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lotter brings experience spanning decades in politics, public service and media. Prior to joining the national campaign and White House, he worked in top communication roles in Indiana state government, Communications Director for Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, and Communications Director for former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, and the McCain-Palin Campaign in Indiana. Before entering public service, Lotter spent 13 years as a producer and manager for television stations across the country. His work included stops in Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Atlanta, where he served as Executive Producer at CBS Atlanta News. During Lotter’s career in local television news, his work received two Emmy awards and was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for the “Best Newscast” in Indiana.

​A dedicated Hoosiers, Colts and Cubs fan, Lotter graduated from Ball State University, where he majored in Telecommunications and Political Science. He resides with his family and dog, Wrigley, in the Washington, DC area.
